Solstice festival in Oensingen – Switzerland’s biggest fireworks display !

On Saturday, 21 March 2026 at 8:15 p.m., on the day when the sun crosses the Earth’s equator and astronomically defined spring begins, the solstice celebration, the Sonnwendfeier will be held in Oensingen (SO)!

The largest and most impressive fireworks display in Switzerland takes place every three years with a spectacular, approximately 60-minute grand fireworks display.

Sugyp is delighted to be participating in the 2026 edition under the direction of the VCO, the Vogelherdclub: an association that preserves the historical customs of Oensingen, but also a passion for fireworks.

Around 50’000 people attend this unique fireworks spectacle and are enchanted by the unique backdrop of Neu-Bechburg Castle and over 100 aerial fireworks.
